I don’t know about you, but I am completely in love with salmon. You might be wondering why, and if I were to list ALL of the reasons we might just be here until the next season of Friends comes out. Yeah, so basically forever, sorry for the disappointment. Salmon has so many great benefits for our health, and of course for our happiness. Let’s take a look at a handful of them…
Healthy Salmon
Salmon comes in many shapes and forms, and I’m not going to be the one to tell you how to eat it. What I will tell you is what it can do for your shape and size, if you know what I mean. Salmon is a great ally in the fight with heart disease and that’s because of its high count of omega-3 fatty acids. It also provides you with lean protein and an ample amount of vitamin B and potassium. Convinced yet?

1 large salmon fillet
Kosher salt
Ground black pepper
2 lemons, thinly sliced
6 tablespoons butter, melted
2 tablespoons honey
3 garlic cloves, minced
1 teaspoon thyme leaves, chopped
1 teaspoon dried oregano
Freshly chopped parsley, for garnish
Do This
– Preheat the oven to 350°
– Spray a baking sheet with cooking spray and place it in a tin foil pan, followed by slices of lemon
– Season your salmon with salt and pepper, put the salmon skin down on the baking sheet and then put some more lemon slices on top
– Whisk the butter, honey, garlic, thyme, and oregano together in a small bowl. Pour the mixture over the salmon and put the salmon in the oven
– Cook the fish for 25 minutes, then adjust the oven to ‘broil’ for 2 more minutes
– Serve fresh after you’ve sprinkled fresh parsley over the salmon
